If you do want to get some exercise, there is a 50 meter communal lap pool, a well-equipped fitness room and assigned areas for activities such as volleyball. The Restaurant & Bar outlets is open whole day offering both great food and refreshing drinks.

Daily breakfast is included, as is daily maid service. There is a large flat screen TV with DVD player and sound system and Wi-Fi is freely available. An extra bed is available for 2,000 THB/night, including breakfast.

The east coast has a certain charm. The locals still have a traditional way of life, enjoying a close connection with the sea and the land through fishing or rubber farming. The simple life is cherished here and, unlike many west coast areas, true peace and quiet can be enjoyed. This side of the island boasts the most dramatic views of Phuket. Distant islands and limestone karsts of Phang Nga bay rise up from the ocean and, as the sun sets, the sky is filled with orange hues. Fishing boats meander across the water and yachts return to their marinas for the evening.

If you play golf, it's on your doorstep, too. Mission Hills, a superb Jack Nicklaus designed links course with a fabulous clubhouse is located just ten minutes away. A short twenty minute drive takes you to several other courses on the island including Blue Canyon, which has hosted the Johnnie Walker Classic twice, and Loch Palm, located in the centre of the island.
